Gemma is an award winning experienced lecturer with over 12 years lecturing experience in accounting and finance. Gemma also has many years of industry experience which spans from Irish firms to multi-national organisations including running her own accounting consultancy business which provided services to industry, both locally in Ireland and in the Caribbean. Gemma is a fellow of the Certified Public Accountants Ireland (CPA).

Gemma Davis was my lecturer for SBR for the March 2024 exam sitting. Gemma was always very enthusiastic when teaching all the different topics and encouraged us to interact as much as possible in the classes.
Her teaching style was easy to follow, and she was able to explain concepts in different ways if students needed further clarification. She kept us all on track and gave plenty of extra resources to help us understand the various chapters and standards.
Gemma was always available on whatsapp and was quick to respond to questions and queries. She provided a ton of extra material from FR for us to be able to revise the topics already covered and be able to build on them at an SBR level. I really enjoyed having Gemma as a lecturer. It is the most I have participated in online classes, and I got my best result so far from all my exams to this point. Thanks Gemma.

Gemma is a brilliant Financial Accounting lecturer. She built the class up from the basics of double entry to being able to take on Consolidsations and Cashflows with confidence over a few months. Her communication style, her way of breaking down tasks and how she linked previous learning to a current lesson really helped to cement my understanding of FA. She was so responsive and patient with questions we had. She gave us the right amount of information without overloading us and kept us on our toes with plenty of mocks to make sure we got used to exam questions and conditions.

I had lost hope about 2 weeks before the exam. My wife was diagnosed with breast cancer (the week before) and I thought ‘well there is no way I can pass this exam now’.
I think we all had our exam doubts at this point as we shared on the Class WhatsApp, but you were there for us. You picked us up and said we would be fine and that it would all come together if we trusted your plan.
So, I did, and I studied as much as I could into the last 2 weeks and hoped for the questions to go my way. Additionally, each PAT I actually had a great a time learning this module with Gemma. Lesson plans were really helpful. You’ve built a good stamina for me. I was amazed with your patience and you not giving up on us.

I started this ACCA journey in September 2018…. So, it’s been a while.
I came to PAT Business School – having failed ACCA PM 4 times in another College and feeling like I wasn’t smart enough or good enough to continue my studies!
PAT Business School gave me huge believe in myself and I passed PM. I then had the pleasure of studying ACCA FR and now I have passed FR.
Suddenly I believe in myself again, and I will continue with PAT Business School until I complete the remaining 6 ACCA exams.

After an exam break of 3 years In September 2022, I decided it was time to get back on the ACCA journey and commenced FR with Gerry & Gemma at PAT Business School. Admittedly I found it so hard to get back into the study routine, as my life had changed a lot since I first started, and with a toddler and working full time – I really struggled to focus and find the time to prepare.
I really am so delighted that I persisted. From the outset there was a clear focus on the exam and the most effective way to approach each exam section, and in what order to complete the questions.
